If you find that copying from your Windows Vista extremely slow  (50KB/s) from wifi you must try this.

Go to your device manager:

  • Start – Control panel – Device manager
Control Panel - Device Manager

Control Panel - Device Manager

  • Select your wifi device in ‘Network Adapter’. Mine is “Intel (R) Wifi Link 5100…)
  • Right click, select ‘properties’
  • Select tab ‘Advanced’
  • Select ‘Ad Hoc Channel 802.11 b/g”. Change the value to 1 (default is 11)

  • Press OK

Now try again to copy files from Network.. If everything work perfectly you should able to get 2MB/s
